Puddle Hopping

It rained today, boy howdy did it rain. Well, maybe not that much but it rained slowly for almost the whole morning. Of course what happends when you have rain? You get PUDDLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ben seized the opportunity to put on his puddle hopping clothes and proceeded to hopping!

Kites!

I forgot to show the pictures of their kites and I promised William that I would, so here they are. Ben had the aliens and William had the skull! Oh, and I threw in a picture of the moon that I took just because I could!

Kite Flying

I got the boys some new kites today and they enjoyed flying them out in the field this afternoon!

OK, maybe Ben was getting a little cold in his chosen attire. Long sleeve shirt, orange shorts, and water boots filled with water. More on that to come with additional pictures. I guess you could say...that's a whole 'nother story!

WooHoo...what a great day of exciting activities. Today was Ben's first bus ride. He got on the bus this morning at 6:35...here's proof:







Oh, wait...it's still quiet dark at 6:30 in the morning AND it was raining. So, here's my baby getting on the bus for the first time!

And since we did absolutely NOTHING today I am posting pics of our December snowfall. A rare happening for us down here in South Texas!!

We did absolutely NOTHING today, not a thing. William spent the day at church and over at H's house so he wasn't even home until later. Ben spent the day watching and re-watching WALL-E. We watched the Zohan movie with Adam Sandler (is that his name???).

The Wii Fit is fast becoming the most sought after game in our household. I'm just waiting for the boys to return to school so I can have it all to myself....bwaaaahaaaa........

We got a new game for Christmas called Jenga - so far everyone loves playing. Ben even held his own playing the game which I figured would be difficult for him since it needs precision and gentleness.

Ya know, if they would feed the horses every once in a while they wouldn't have to resort to dumpster diving for mid-afternoon snacks.

New Year's Eve

What the heck....everyone assured me they were staying awake and would be ringing in thew New Year....

William clearly didn't make it although he did wake up and run outside when I said that they neighbors were doing some fireworks.

Ben stayed awake only slightly past midnight!


Well...this was supposed to be my first post of the new year and look what happened...my computer quit accepting cookies or something (heck, I think I need to stop accepting cookies too, maybe that would help my figure!!).
